The enchanting tale of Aladdin and the Magic Lamp is back on the small screen. The tale is associated with One Thousand and One Nights, a collection of Middle Eastern folktales compiled in the Arabic language. It is known as Arabian Nights in English. This time, Aladdin is coming as a daily series in Tamil.
Tune into Thanthi One TV from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day and travel through the magical streets of Baghdad with Aladdin. Television buffs may relive this classic in the series that brings the magic of Aladdin to life.
The story of the youngster who stumbles upon a magical lamp that sets off a series of adventures along with Jasmine, the daughter of the Sultan, and the genie of the lamp is unravelled with many twists in each episode. The series promises to enthral the viewers with vibrant visuals and performances as the protagonist overcomes the treacherous schemes of the sorcerer. The series is also available in mobile phone application and on the web platform.
Tamil music singles and video songs are becoming instant hits on streaming platforms in recent times. After the latest popular single Aasa Kooda by singers Sai Abhyankkar and Sai Smriti, Aiyaiyo by Samuel Nicholas, son of film music composer Harris Jayaraj, is topping the charts. Samuel Nicholas has not only composed and sung the energetic track but also starred in this debut video song. Released by Think Music, a label aimed at creating space for independent musicians, and being streamed on YouTube, the song is receiving widespread acclaim.

Speaking of the song, Samuel Nicholas says, “I started my musical journey as a chorus singer in the film Ezham Arivu. I have also been part of my father’s music concerts as a guitarist and vocalist. I sang a song for the background score of Dev as well. It’s a great pleasure to be introduced as a music composer with Aiyaiyo.”
