T20 match: Traffic diversions near Chepauk stadium

With the second match of the T20 International Men’s Cricket 2025 between India and England scheduled to take place on Saturday (January 25, 2025) at M.A. Chidambaram Cricket Stadium in Chepauk, the Chennai traffic police have proposed a few traffic diversions on the corresponding roads, which will be implemented from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the day of the match.
With the second match of the T20 International Men’s Cricket 2025 between India and England scheduled to take place on Saturday (January 25, 2025) at M.A. Chidambaram Cricket Stadium in Chepauk, the Chennai traffic police have proposed a few traffic diversions on the corresponding roads, which will be implemented from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the day of the match.
Vehicles are allowed to enter Canal Road (Victoria Hostel Road) through Bharathi Salai alone and there is no entry from Wallajah Road. Bell’s Road will be operated as a one-way, while entry from Bharathi Salai is permitted.
All vehicles coming from Ratna Cafe towards Kamarajar Salai will be diverted at Bell’s Road X Wallajah Salai Junction. Vehicles coming from Bell’s Road towards Kannagi statue are not permitted. After 10 p.m., traffic from Napier Bridge to Kannagi Statue is closed due to Republic Day preparations.
Vehicles without parking passes, coming from Anna Salai, will be asked to park at Kalaivanar Arangam, Omandurar Medical College Ground, MRTS Chepauk premises, PWD Ground, Chepauk, and Swami Sivanandham Salai.
