SPMVV hosts programme on patent filing

SPMVV and NI-MSME host Advanced Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Patent Application Drafting and Filing Procedures in India.
Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV), in collaboration with National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME), Hyderabad, organised an Advanced Entrepreneurship Development Programme (AD-ESDP) ‘Patent Application Drafting and Filing Procedures in India’, at its campus on Monday.
The five-day national-level programme was inaugurated by SPMVV Vice-Chancellor Uma Vennam and NI-MSME programme director V. Swapna, and others. The first day of the programme had four sessions. On the occasion, Ms. Swapna elaborated on patent laws and regulations in India. She also conducted a hands-on session on patent search and filing process, and explained various schemes of MSME.
The sessions went well with fruitful insights and discussions. Prof. Mamatha, organising secretary, mentioned that the complete programme involves lectures and talks of more than 10 national-level experts in patent laws and intellectual property rights (IPR).
Resource persons, including Dr. Radhika Vangala, IPR manager of BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus, explained on the introductory aspects of IPR, patent and its significance, patent structure with case studies and live examples.
