Singanallur bus stand in Coimbatore to get a face lift at ₹10 crore
The Singanallur bus stand is set to get a face lift at a cost of ₹10 crore and the Corporation has resolved to seek funds from the Local Planning Authority for the same.
Next to the Gandhipuram and Ukkadam bus stands, the Singanallur bus stand that came into existence in 2020 is operating more than 300 bus services to Southern districts such as Madurai, Sivaganga, Virudhunagar, Tirunelveli, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Ramanathapuram, Karur, Thoothukudi and Tiruchirapalli.
During rainy season, water stagnates at the bus stand and passengers are put to untold hardship. The renovation has been a long pending demand from the passengers.
Now, the Corporation has planned to prepare a detailed project report for the renovation at ₹10 crore and the proposal will be sent to the Local Planning Authority for funds.
