Shiv Sena demands arrest of comedian Kunal Kamra for insulting Deputy Chief Minister, threatens 'Shiv Sena treatment'.
Shiv Sena on Sunday (March 24, 2025) demands the arrest of stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra over his stand-up in which he has allegedly referred to Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as a ‘Gaddar’ (traitor).
Shiv Sena spokesperson Krishna Hegde said that the comedian will receive ‘Shiv Sena treatment’, as none of the ‘Shiv Sainiks’ had liked his statements.
Mr. Hegde further said, “Kunal Kamra’s upbringing seems extremely poor , he has been banned in airlines , is abusive and uncouth and police should take strong action against such habitual offenders.”
Shiv Sena workers on Sunday (March 23, 2025) vandalised a hotel in Mumbai’s Khar area where stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra’s show was filmed, police said.
An FIR be lodged against Kamra.
The video was also posted on X by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut by saying “Kunal Ka Kamal”.
Sena MP Naresh Mhaske warned Kamra that he will be chased by Sena workers throughout the country. “You will be forced to flee India,” he said in a video message.

To make city bus drivers fall in line with traffic rules, the Mangaluru City police henceforth will begin registering FIRs against traffic violations under Section 281 (reckless driving) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal said on Wednesday. So far, they were only imposing penalties for traffic violations.

Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) is set to enable additional flight connectivity to Bengaluru, during the summer schedule of airlines, beginning from March 30. Passengers will be able to choose from the nine daily flights that IndiGo and Air India Express will operate to Bengaluru during the schedule.
