Shah Rukh Khan delighted fans at Dubai’s Global Village by sharing exciting updates about his next project, King. The actor, celebrating 29 years in cinema, took the stage to talk about his journey, his work, and the much-anticipated film.
Addressing the crowd, Shah Rukh confirmed that King will be directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously helmed the blockbuster Pathaan. He also hinted at the film being a massive entertainer, saying, “I can’t tell you much because my director, Siddharth Anand, is very strict. But I can assure you it will be entertaining, and you will love watching it in theatres.”
The actor noted how he’s run out of titles for his movies, joking, “Now Shah Rukh Khan as Shah Rukh Khan in King. I know it’s a bit of a show-off, but since we’re in Dubai, they all know that a king will always be a king.”
Reports suggest that King will feature Shah Rukh’s daughter, Suhana Khan, in a key role, while Abhishek Bachchan is expected to play the antagonist. Although Shah Rukh refrained from divulging plot details, his excitement for the project was palpable as he assured fans of a “great film.”
The event also showcased Shah Rukh’s charisma, as he danced to hits like “Chammak Challo” and “Zinda Banda,” and delivered iconic dialogues, including Jawan’s “Bete ko haath lagane se pehle baap se baat kar.” Reflecting on turning 60 this year, the actor also quipped, “I look like 30!”
