Senior photojournalist Shivamogga Nandan, known for his activism and powerful images, passes away at 57 due to heart attack.
Senior photojournalist Shivamogga Nandan passed away in Shivamogga on Saturday night. He was 57. He suffered a heart attack and breathed his last at a hospital.
Nandan is survived by his wife and two children.
Nandan worked as a photojournalist for Indian Express and Kannada Prabha for many years. He has been a witness to many sociopolitical events in Shivamogga districts in the last four decades.
Many of his colleagues remember him as an excellent photojournalist and also an activist who didn’t hesitate to raise his voice against any injustice and protest alone.
The final rites will be held later today in Shivamogga.
