‘Sasthrayaan’ to be week-long event

University of Calicut to host 'Sasthrayaan' exhibition showcasing academic achievements, inviting central agencies like ISRO, in October or November.
The University of Calicut is planning to hold ‘Sasthrayaan’, an exhibition showcasing its academic and research accomplishments before the people, as a week-long event from next year.
This was announced by Vice-Chancellor P. Raveendran on Saturday (January 18) while opening the valedictory ceremony of this year’s ‘Sasthrayaan’ exhibition, which was held for three days on the campus at Tenhipalam in Malappuram. Mr. Raveendran said that the event could be held in October or November before the beginning of the examination season. Central agencies like the Indian Space Research Organisation would be invited to the event. N.S. Pradeep, chairperson, Malabar Botanical Garden, was the chief guest. E.K. Satheesh, university registrar, presided over the event.
