Painted storks and pelicans roam freely at Visakhapatnam's zoo post-Cyclone Hudhud, showcasing elegance and charm in natural habitat.
At Visakhapatnam’s Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, painted storks and pelicans have got an unexpected break.
Once confined to enclosures, these elegant birds have roamed freely ever since Cyclone Hudhud destroyed the enclosures in 2014.
Adapting effortlessly, they now glide over the zoo’s lush greenery, often visiting nearby waterbodies in search of food before returning to the tree tops at the zoo.
Their striking pink-tipped wings and graceful movements add to the zoo park’s charm, offering visitors a rare glimpse of wildlife outside enclosures.
