Petrichor 2025, the annual techno-cultural festival of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad, got under way on its campus at Kanjikode here on Saturday. The two-day event will also coincide with an open house, inviting students and parents from schools and colleges in Palakkad.
A. Seshadri Sekhar, IIT Palakkad director, inaugurated the event. The campus opened its gates to the public, offering them an opportunity to explore IIT’s facilities and projects.
An array of activities, including puzzles and quizzes, have been arranged. One of them draws inspiration from the Julia Robinson Math Festival being held at different places in the US, turning maths into fun.
A book fair, music competitions and a stand-up comedy show marked the inaugural day of the open house.
