AICC denies issuing show-cause notice to Karnataka Minister Jarkiholi, clarifies no proposal to change KPCC president.
AICC general secretary in-charge of Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala denied as “baseless” reports that the Congress had issued a show-cause notice to Satish Jarkiholi, Minister and KPCC working president, for his alleged statements about the need for a change in the KPCC leadership. He also said there was no proposal to change the KPCC president.
“I want to clarify that there is no proposal on changing the KPCC president and no notice has been issued to Mr. Jarkiholi or any other leader,” he told reporters in Belagavi. He was here to review preparations for the ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ event to be held on January 21.
“There is no reason to issue a notice to any Minister or leader. I do not know who is spreading such rumours, I think it is the BJP that is spreading rumours regarding the internal conflict in the State Congress. No one should believe them,” he said. Mr. Surjewala met Mr. Jarkiholi later at the Congress Bhavan.
