NLCIL distributes assistive devices to PwDs

NLC India Ltd. distributes artificial limbs and assistive devices to PwDs in Neyveli under CSR initiatives.
NLC India Ltd. (NLCIL) on Saturday distributed artificial limbs and assistive devices to Persons with disabilities (PwDs) in Neyveli.
According to an official release, NLCIL had inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2024 with the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India Limited (ALIMCO) for the distribution of artificial limbs and assistive devices to PwDs in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, at an estimated cost of ₹1.08 Crore, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The project has since been further extended to NLCIL’s Barsingsar Unit in Rajasthan and Talabira project areas of Jharsuguda and Sambalpur Districts in Odisha.
ALIMCO conducted assessment camps during December 2024 and identified 390 beneficiaries in Kurunjipadi and Veppankurichi areas of Cuddalore District.
Samir Swarup, Director (Human Resources), NLCIL, distributed the assistive devices including walkers, battery operated motorised tricycles, conventional tricycles and foldable wheel chairs to the beneficiaries.
