Actor Chaya Singh has made a comeback to the Tamil television screen after three years with a new serial, Gettimelam, in Zee Tamil.
In these past few years, she was working in television serials in Telugu and Kannada. Sources in the television say the series that has Chaya Singh playing the role of Thulasi is of a heart-warming love, dreams, and family bonds. The serial follows the journey of Sivaraman (Actor Ponvannan) and Lakshmi (TV actor Praveena), a couple with five children, who strive to overcome life’s challenges and fulfil their dream to own a house.
Lakshmi, who is eager to prove her worth to her estranged wealthy family, will focus on securing the future of her daughters. The episodes will unravel the plot on how the family balances trials and aspirations. This emotional drama weaves the themes of love, resilience, and the enduring power of the family.
Sources say this is the first one-hour prime time serial in Tamil television. It is being streamed on weekdays at 7.30 p.m. The cast include Sibbu Suriya, Soundarya Reddy, and Viraat.
