G.S. Anitha appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madurai North, succeeding Madhu Kumari, with extensive experience in law enforcement.
G.S. Anitha, has assumed office of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madurai North, of Madurai City Police. She succeeds Madhu Kumari.
A 2009-batch Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ms. Anitha was hitherto Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) in Tirunelveli City Police. She has served as DSP in Nilgiris and Coimbatore and as Additional Superintendent of Police in Erode, Coimbatore and Thoothukudi.
Ms. Anitha also earlier served as DCP Madurai North for a brief period in January 2024 before she was transferred back to Tirunelveli city.
