The Mysore Warriors Golf Club emerged victorious in the inaugural Mysore Golf League (MGL) hosted at the Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club (JWGC). The final showdown between Mysore Warriors and Raj Infra Green Legends saw both teams tied with four points each, leading to an intense sudden death playoff. Mysore Warriors triumphed 3-2 over Raj Infra Green Legends and were awarded the coveted title.

The tournament served as a platform to highlight golf in the region and witnessed the participation of eight teams from across Mysuru, including Mysore Warriors, Grand Serene Royals, Walkmate Aces, Gravity One Vanaja, Naksha Masters, Sandalwood Strikers, Walkmate Aces, and Saanvi’s Mysuru Tigers.
The teams battled it out in various formats namely Four Ball, Foursome (Alternate Shot), Team Scramble, and Three-Ball Match Play. The final round, featuring all formats, was held on January 25, with Mysore Warriors coming out on top. Led by captain Arjun Ranga, MD of Cycle Pure Agarbathi, the Mysore Warriors Golf Club demonstrated exceeding skills and abilities throughout the competition, a press release from NR Group said.
Mr. Ranga said: “We are elated by this victory, and it is a proud moment for the Mysore Warriors Golf Club. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team. The MGL has been an incredible journey, not only for the players but for the entire golfing community in Mysore. This victory further solidifies our dedication in giving back to the community, through the efforts.”
