A Division Bench of the High Court of Karnataka on Saturday adjourned until March 22 the hearing on the writ appeal filed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, challenging the September 24, 2024 judgment passed by a single judge upholding the Governor’s decision to permit investigation against him over the alleged illegal allotment of 14 sites to his wife, Parvathi, by the Mysuru Urban Development Corporation ( MUDA).
A Division Bench of the High Court of Karnataka on Saturday adjourned until March 22 the hearing on the writ appeal filed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, challenging the September 24, 2024 judgment passed by a single judge upholding the Governor’s decision to permit investigation against him over the alleged illegal allotment of 14 sites to his wife, Parvathi, by the Mysuru Urban Development Corporation ( MUDA).
The Bench, comprising Chief Justice N.V. Anjaria and Justice M.I. Arun, adjourned the hearing on the request made by Mr. Siddaramaiah’s advocate.
Advocate Shathabish Shivanna told the Bench that senior advocate, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, required some time to commence arguments.
The hearing on two other appeals, filed by Devaraju J., who had sold the controversial 3 acres of land at Kesare village to the Chief Minister’s brother-in-law in 2004, after getting the land denotified from the MUDA, were also adjourned till March 22.
