MLA Channareddy Tunnur emphasizes empowering persons with disabilities through opportunities, not just compassion, during vehicle distribution event.
Member of Legislative Assembly Channareddy Tunnur has said that persons with disabilities will achieve more if they are given an opportunity instead of being treated on compassionate grounds.
He was addressing them after distributing three-wheelers in Yadgir on Sunday.
“As many as 19 vehicles were distributed to eligible beneficiaries under the MLA Local Area Development Fund for 2023-24 and applicants will also get vehicles in the future,” he said.
“The State government is spending money for the welfare of persons with disabilities. They should be given an opportunity and encouraged to achieve more,” Mr. Tunnur said.
District Officer of Disabilities and Senior Citizens Empower Department Sharanagouda Patil, Sabanna Kenguri, Mallikarjun Ete, Ambarish Jaka, Mareppa Bilhar, Sharanagouda Kurkunda and others were present.
