A man was found dead in White Rock Tuesday night, leading to an investigation by B.C.’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.
Police have blocked the waterfront area on Marine Drive between Cypress and Dolphin streets, which is about a kilometre from the pier.
Video taken from the scene appears to show a body under a tarp as IHIT begin its investigation.
White Rock RCMP say it is early in the investigation and there is no word if this incident was targeted or random.
The investigation comes just days after a man was stabbed near the pier on Sunday night.
In that incident, the 28-year-old victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after sustaining stab wounds.
The RCMP said then that they don't believe the victim and suspect knew each other, "or that there was any confrontation prior to the incident."
