Police are investigating after someone stole tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of Maud Lewis artwork from a home in Halifax.
Police are investigating after someone stole tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of Maud Lewis artwork from a home in Halifax.
Halifax Regional Police say the theft happened at the home in the 1900 block of Cambridge Street sometime in November. Investigators learned about the robbery on Nov. 25.
Each piece is described as a framed Christmas card by the famed Nova Scotia folk artist. The cards, which are roughly 7” x 5” in size, are matted and framed.
Police say each piece is worth more than $10,000.
