Threat to safety near hospital due to haphazard parking of share autorickshaws, urging district administration to take action.
Threat to safety near hospital
Drivers of share autorickshaws park their vehicles haphazardly on Panagal Road opposite the main entrance of Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai to pick up and drop passengers in contravention of traffic rules. This violation of rules does not only cause traffic congestion but also poses threat to the safety of passengers and pedestrians. It has even caused an accident few days back. It is time the district administration took stringent action against errant share auto drivers and ensure that they abide by the rules.

Ensure free flow of traffic
On a stretch of Panagal Road opposite Government Rajaji Hospital, autorickshaws pose a serious threat to public safety and also cause traffic congestion. They stop their vehicles according to their whims and fancies at any place on this stretch to drop or pick up passengers, on both sides of the road opposite the main entrance of the hospital and completely block the road and disrupt free flow of traffic. Some autorickshaws come in the one-way, causing confusion to other road users. The hardships caused to the public are more pronounced during peak hours. I request the traffic police to take appropriate action against the drivers and ensure free flow of traffic on Panagal Road.
