M.V. Jayarajan re-elected as CPI(M) Kannur district secretary

M.V. Jayarajan re-elected as CPI(M) district secretary in Kannur, Kerala, with new committee members elected.
M.V. Jayarajan was re-elected as the district secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] in Kannur, Kerala, on Monday (February 3, 2025).
His reappointment was confirmed during the district conference held at Taliparamba, where a new district committee was also elected.
M.V. Jayarajan first assumed the role of district secretary after P. Jayarajan stepped down to contest the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He was re-elected in 2021 and later contested the 2024 parliamentary elections from Kannur but lost to incumbent KPCC president K. Sudhakaran.
Among the newly inducted members are SFI State president K. Anusree and DYFI Kannur district secretary Sarin Sasi. Journalist-turned-politician M.V. Nikesh Kumar has also been included in the district committee. A total of 11 new faces have been elected in the 50-member district committee.
