Experience the best Ground Zero stories from The Hindu at a captivating exhibit from Lit for Life 2025.
An exhibit showcasing the best Ground Zero stories from The Hindu captivated visitors at The Hindu Lit for Life 2025, held at Lady Andal School in Chennai on January 18 and 19.
Ground Zero is a weekly series of narrative journalism by The Hindu reporters, focusing on significant events that impact people. As Suresh Nambath, Editor of The Hindu, describes it, the stories shed light on “the lives of ordinary people caught in extraordinary circumstances.”
A book compiling the finest Ground Zero stories from recent years has been published, and the exhibit was centered around this collection. The exhibit featured stories and photographs from major 2024 events, including the Wayanad landslide, the RG Kar rape and murder in Kolkata, and the arrack deaths in Tamil Nadu.
The exhibit, designed by Sunalini Mathew, Associate Editor, Dinesh Krishnan, Visual Editor, and Radhika Santhanam, Senior Assistant Editor, provided an immersive experience of these impactful stories. The book is also available for pre-order.
