Kumkis to chase wild elephants back into forest

Forest Department brings in kumki elephants to chase wild elephants damaging agricultural land in Kannivadi Forest Reserve.
In order to chase back into forest the wild elephants causing damage to agricultural land in Neelamalaikottai, Kinathupatti, Pudhu Ettappanayakkanpatti, Pannapatti and Kombai in Kannivadi Forest Reserve, kumki elephant of the Forest Department, Chinnathambi from Kozhikamuthy in Top Slip Elephant Camp and another kumki elephant Krishna from Mudumalai Elephant Camp have been brought to Neelamalaikottai.
A team of senior officials from Oddanchatram and Batlagundu forest reserves have also been brought in to chase the wild elephants.
