BRS working president KTR criticizes Governor's address as full of lies, challenges government's farm loan waiver claims.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) labelled Governor Jishnu Dev Varma’s address as a “Congress workers’ press meet” and said it was nothing but “blatant lies, half-truths, and misleading statements” reflecting the 15-month governance.
Speaking to reporters at the Media Point in the Assembly on Wednesday (March 12, 2025), he alleged that the Governor should have focused on the recent protest by contractors outside Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka’s chamber in the Telangana Secretariat reflecting commissions being taken to clear bills.
KTR painted a grim picture of the State’s agrarian crisis and claimed that the Medigadda Barrage, part of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project was left unrepaired for 15 months due to “blind hatred” against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). In the process, farmers were suffering, he said.
He also challenged the government’s claims of farm loan waivers and said the beneficiaries were less than 30%. He accused the Governor of falsely claiming that loan waivers were complete.
