AOMSI launches "Cancer Care Connect" to combat oral cancers in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, focusing on awareness and early detection.
The Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India (AOMSI), Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Branch, has launched a year-long initiative, “Cancer Care Connect,” to combat oral, mouth, and jaw cancers. The project was inaugurated on Thursday at Koyambedu bus terminus and fruit market, coinciding with International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Day. Principal of Tamil Nadu Government Dental College S. Premkumar, along with President of AOMSI R. Manikandhan, launched the initiative. K. Arunkumar, Honorary State Secretary, highlighted the project’s focus on raising awareness about oral cancer and enabling early cancer detection in underprivileged communities across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
