Renowned composer Ilaiyaraaja to perform with his troupe at Sivanthipatti hillock, Tirunelveli, promising a mesmerizing musical experience.
The serene surroundings of Sivanthipatti hillock on Palayamkottai outskirts will reverberate with melodious music on Friday evening as renowned composer Ilaiyaraaja is scheduled to perform with his troupe at this tranquil spot.
A massive stage measuring about 80 feet into 50 feet is coming-up on 39 acres of land for the Maestro and his troupe. After crossing the sliced Reddiyarpatti hillock on the Tirunelveli – Kanniyakumari 4-lane national highway, music lovers will have to take the 15-feet-wide Muthoor Road near Ponnaiah Hotel on the left to reach the venue for the mega event.
Besides narrating interesting anecdotes, Mr. Ilaiyaraaja and his world-class musicians including violinist-conductor Prabhakar and singer-flautist Arunmozhi alias Napoleon are expected to mesmerize the fans with the legendary composer’s evergreen numbers for more than four hours.
“The response is really good as the tickets are selling fast. We are really proud and happy to be associated with Raaja sir’s event here in Tirunelveli. It’s a great opportunity for Nellaiites and the entire southern districts,” says Vijay of Four Seasons, the event management team.
Days after Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw’s remarks on the fate of the Madurai-Thoothukudi new line project triggered a political row, the Union Railway Ministry on Wednesday (January 15, 2025) clarified that the project has not been shelved and there are no issues pertaining to land acquisition for the same.
