Uttarakhand High Court Chief Justice emphasizes holistic education for students at Queen Mira International School in Madurai.
A school is a place that feeds a student’s mind, body and soul. Therefore, holistic education was important for the development of students, said Uttarakhand High Court Chief Justice Guhanathan Narendar here on Saturday.
The Chief Justice was speaking at a felicitation ceremony organised to celebrate UNICEF recognising the anthem of Queen Mira International School, Madurai, ‘Anbe Engal Paadhai’ as the World Student Anthem for Children.
He said that the students should energise their body through physical education, their mind through the subjects they study and soul through morals and principles, he said, and told students that it was an important phase in their life and they should make the best out of it.
On the school anthem, the Chief Justice said that ‘Anbu’ means love and compassion and it was important for everyone to possess it. Practice the anthem throughout your life and you will see the rewards. Let it be the motto of your life, he told the students.
He appreciated the school management for coming up with the anthem. He interacted with the students after his speech.
Senior Advocate Isaac Mohanlal said that the school had gone global with this achievement and appreciated the people behind the anthem.
Chairperson of the school C. Chandran said that the school followed the concept of ‘Happy Schooling’ which focused on the all-round development of the students.
