
Guru Shiksha 2025 concludes on a high note

Guru Shiksha 9th edition: Inter school & collegiate competition with 1171 students, staff oratorical event, and cash prizes.
The Guru Nanak Educational Society (GNES), in association with the Guru Nanak Centre for Consultancy and Outreach Initiatives, organised the 9th edition of Guru Shiksha, a state-level inter school and inter collegiate competition on Friday and Saturday. A total of 1171 students participated in 21 competitions with overwhelming responses for the Quiz and Essay Writing events.
One of the standout events at Guru Shiksha was the Staff Oratorical competition, which invited both teaching and non-teaching faculty members from Guru Nanak College and Guru Nanak School to participate. The events happened in Tamil, Hindi, and English to promote inclusivity. The Hindu was the media partner.
At the valedictory ceremony, the Principal of Guru Nanak College, T.K. Avvai Kothai, the Advisor of GNES, Dr. Marlene Morais, Rajinder Singh Bhasin, the President of GNES, Swati Paliwal, Dean Academics and Head - GNCCOI, alongside chief guest Sunil Paliwal, IAS, Chairperson of Chennai Port Authority & Kamarajar Port Limited presented cash prizes to the winning students. He elaborated on the relevance of Sikh philosophy ‘Sangat-Pangat: Celebrating Oneness’.
