Four of family found dead in Mysuru

The family had visited Gorur temple in Hassan on February 16. They had returned to their apartment after having dinner in Rupali’s parents’ house in Mysuru. Chetan’s brother, who stays in the U.S., had telephoned Rupali’s parents to go to Chetan’s apartment and check on them. The deaths came to light when Rupali’s parents reached the apartment early in the morning on February 17.
Four persons of a family were found dead in an apartment at Vishveshvaraiah Nagar in Mysuru on February 17.
The deceased had been identified as Chetan, 45, a labour contractor, his wife Rupali, 43, their son Kushal, 15, and Chetan’s mother Priyamvadha, 63.
Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, who visited the spot, said the deceased were staying in two apartments. While Chetan, his wife and son stayed in one apartment, the other one was occupied by his mother.
Chetan hailed from Gorur in Hassan while his wife is from Mysuru. A mechanical engineer by qualification, Chetan had returned from Dubai in 2019 and was sending labourers to work in Saudi Arabia.

A case has been booked in Vidyaranyapuram police station. Ms Latkar said that a team from the Forensic Sciences Laboratory (FSL) was also part of the investigation to ascertain the time and cause of deaths.
