Senior Muslim League leader and former MLA K. Mohammedunni Haji, 82, passed away at his home in Pookottur.
K. Mohammedunni Haji, 82, senior Muslim League leader and former MLA of Kondotty, died at his house at Pookottur near here on Saturday evening. He was leading a retired life.
Haji represented Kondotty in the Assembly for two terms in 2006 and 2011.
He was Pookottur grama panchayat president from 1998 to 2006. He was also chairman of Malappuram Spinning Mill and United Electrical Ltd. He was the Indian Union Muslim League’s Kondotty constituency secretary.
IUML leaders, including Syed Sadikali Shihab Thangal and P.K. Kunhalikutty, paid homage to Haji.
The funeral will take place at Valluvampuram Juma Masjid graveyard at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
