Consecration ceremony at Mangalanathar Swamy Temple in Thiru Uthirakosamangai celebrated with grandeur, rituals, and devotees.
The consecration ceremony was celebrated with pomp and gaiety at Thiru Uthirakosamangai Mangalanathaswamy Temple in Ramanathapuram district on Friday.
Mangaleshwari Sametha Mangalanathar Swamy Temple, a famous Shiva temple, is located in Thiru Uthirakosamangai. The Emerald Nataraja statue is protected by applying sandalwood throughout the year to prevent it from being damaged by sound and light.
Arrangements were made to perform the consecration of the main Rajagopurams of the temple and the 25 Gopurams in the inner and outer premises after 15 years, and the festival began on March 31 with various rituals.
Further, sixth Kaala Pooja, Vasrakuti, Maha Poornahasti, Yatradhanam were performed and the holy water jug was taken out from the Yagasalai Mandapam with traditional musical instruments and Kailaya instruments.
Thousands of devotees from various parts of Tamil Nadu waited in long queues for hours for the immersion ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by Ramanathapuram Samasthanam Devasthanam Hereditary Trustee Rani Rajarajeshwari Nachiyar, Ramanathapuram MLA Katharbatcha Muthuramalingam , District Collector Simranjeet Singh Kalon, District Superintendent of Police G. Chandeesh.
