An official serving in the Intelligence Bureau (IB) posted in Telangana was shot dead in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, on Tuesday (April 22, 2025). The officer, identified as Manish Ranjan, a native of Bihar, was on vacation with his family in Kashmir at the time of the attack.
A senior official from the Telangana police has confirmed the death. His family members escaped unhurt. The incident has sparked panic among tourists, many of whom are in Kashmir for the summer holidays.
