
BRS announces candidates for Telangana polls; KCR to contest from two seats

Releasing the list of candidates from 115 out of 119 constituencies, Telangana Chief Minister and party president K. Chandrashekar Rao announced that he will be contesting from Gajwel and Kamareddy. His son K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) will be contesting from Sircilla.
The BRS has changed seven sitting MLAs - Vemulawada, Boath, Khanapur, Asifabad, Wyra, Metpalli, and Uppal.
While Korutla ticket is being given to sitting MLA Kalvakuntla Vidyasagar’s son Dr. Sanjay, Vemulawada candidate has been changed since the sitting MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh’s nationality issue pending in court. Chelmeda Lakshmi Narasimha Rao will be contesting from there.
Anil Jadhav (Boath), B. Johnson Rathod Naik (Khanapur), K. Lakshmi (Asifabad), B. Lakshma Reddy (Uppal), B. Madanlal (Wyra) are the other new candidates.
Nagajyothi (Mulugu), Lasya Nanditha (Secunderabad Cantonment), Padi Kaushik Reddy (Huzurabad), and K. Prabhakar Reddy (Dubbak) have also got BRS tickets.
Candidates for Narsapur, Jangaon, Nampally and Goshamahal are kept pending.
