
SSLC, Plus Two examinations begin

Over 4.27 lakh students begin SSLC and Plus Two exams in Kerala, with various subjects and exam centers.
The SSLC and Plus Two higher secondary examinations for 2025 got under way in the State on Monday. More than 4.27 lakh students are appearing for the SSLC examinations in the regular category across 2,980 centres in Kerala, Lakshadweep, and the Gulf. Of the examinees, 2.17 lakh are boys and 2.09 lakh girls.
Students sat for the First Language Part 1 Malayalam/ Tamil/ Kannada/ Urdu/ Gujarati/ Additional English/Additional Hindi/Sanskrit (Academic)/Sanskrit Oriental First Paper (for Sanskrit schools), Arabic (Academic)/Arabic Oriental First paper (for Arabic schools) exams on Monday forenoon.
The next examination for the SSLC students will be on Wednesday – Second Language English. The SSLC examinations will conclude on March 26 and the valuation of answer scrips will be held in 72 camps from April 3 to 26 in two phases.
The THSLC and AHSLC examinations also got under way on Monday. As many as 3,057 students are sitting for the THSLC examinations and 65 for the AHSLC at the sole exam centre – Art Higher Secondary School, Kalamandalam.
A total of 206 students are taking the SSLC (Hearing Impaired) examinations and 12 students the THSLC (Hearing Impaired) exams.
The Plus Two higher secondary examinations got under way in the afternoon. As many as 4.44 lakh students (2.17 lakh boys and 2.27 lakh girls) are appearing for the Plus Two examinations across 2,000 exam centres in Kerala, Gulf, Lakshadweep, and Mahe. On Wednesday, the students were tested on Part 1 English.
The Plus Two examinations will conclude on March 26 and the answer script valuation will be held in 89 camps from April 3.
