British Deputy High Commission celebrates King Charles III's birthday with guests from various sectors, emphasizing U.K.-India relations.
The British Deputy High Commission for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry celebrated the birthday of King Charles III at the British Deputy High Commissioner’s Residence in Nungambakkam on Thursday.
According to a press release, Halima Holland, British Deputy High Commissioner for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, played host to around 200 guests from industry, politics, media, sport, and civil society. Lindy Cameron, British High Commissioner to India, in her special address, highlighted the strength of the U.K.-India bilateral relationship in trade and investment, and how the shared goals can help achieve growth in both countries.
Actor Shruti Haasan, who was the guest of honour, also spoke. Mala Manyan, the Chief Operating Officer of iGene Group, a top investor in the U.K., was also present.
