Brand Ambassadors to promote Andhra Pradesh’s capital city Amaravati on global stage. As per G.O. RT No. 107, the initiative is aimed at showcasing Amaravati’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and smart urban planning.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has issued guidelines for appointing Brand Ambassadors to promote Amaravati as a world-class capital city.
The Municipal Administration & Urban Development (MA&UD) Department, through the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), will oversee the selection and engagement of individuals who can enhance Amaravati’s global image.
As per G.O. RT No. 107 issued by Principal Secretary S. Suresh Kumar on Friday (February 14), the initiative aimed at showcasing Amaravati’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and smart urban planning.
The Brand Ambassadors would help attract national and international investments, while fostering community engagement.
Aspirants must meet at least one of three key criteria — global recognition in the areas such as sustainability or development, exceptional professional credentials, and extraordinary commitment to local communities.
Nominations would be accepted exclusively from the Chief Minister and processed by the APCRDA.
The Brand Ambassadors would serve a one-year term, extendable based on the government’s discretion. Their responsibilities included promoting Amaravati’s vision, participating in outreach programmes, and maintaining ethical representation aligned with the government’s policies. They were expected to leverage their influence to raise awareness, engage in community activities, and advocate the city’s growth.
