Saif Ali Khan discharged from hospital after knife attack, underwent surgery for injuries inflicted by Bangladeshi national.
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan being treated for a knife attack at the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai was discharged after five days of treatment, on Tuesday (January 21, 2025).
Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an intruder at his house on January 16, 2025. The Bollywood actor underwent emergency surgery.
Dr. Dange of Lilavati Hospital had said that Khan had three injuries, two on the hand and one on the right side of the neck. And the major part was at the back, which was in the spine.
Doctors have removed the sharp object from the back and repaired the spinal injury, he had said.
Police on Sunday (January 19, 2025) arrested the accused, Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir (30), from neighbouring Thane city for the stabbing incident at the Bollywood star’s residence in Bandra.
According to the police, Fakir, a Bangladeshi national who changed his name to Vijay Das, crossed the Dawki River to enter India illegally seven months ago.
An official said the accused stayed for a few weeks in West Bengal and used the Aadhaar card of a local man to procure a SIM card before moving to Mumbai in search of a job.
