Boating facility begins at Appa Lake in Kalaburagi

Kalaburagi Revenue Division launches boating facility at Appa Lake to boost tourism and revenue generation.
Kalaburagi Revenue Division Regional Commissioner Krishna Bajpai launched boating facility at Appa Lake in Kalaburagi recently.
Mr. Bajpai said that since the Sharanabasaveshwar Garden Lake was revamped last year, it has been generating an average revenue of ₹4 lakh to ₹5 lakh every month. With the launch of the boating facility, it will attract more visitors and the footfall will increase, he added.
He said that 11 paddle boats and three boats with engine will be in service to ferry visitors around the historic lake.
Mr. Bajpai, Deputy Commissioner Fauzia Tarannum and City Corporation Commissioner Bhuvanesh Patil along with children from the Bal Mandir took a round of the lake in a boat.
