TiE Mysuru's handover ceremony marks new leadership, featuring seasoned entrepreneurs, masterclasses, and support for student startups.
Bhaskar Kalale, chairman of EqualizeRCM – India, has been elected as president of TiE Mysuru for the term 2025-26.
During a formal handover ceremony held at the TiE Mysuru’s monthly meeting on Friday, January 24, outgoing president Mahesh Rao passed the baton to Mr. Kalale, marking a new chapter in the organisation’s journey of empowering entrepreneurs.
A statement said the newly constituted Board also comprises seasoned entrepreneurs and industry leaders including the immediate past president Mr. Mahesh Rao, chairman and MD Excelsoft Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Sudhanva Dhananjaya, managing partner of PaiPal Ventures Mr. Ajith Pai, CEO and MD of Rangsons LLP Mr. Pavan Ranga, Startup Mentor and investor Mr. Nagarajan Srinivasan, and co-founder of eCirkle.org Mr. Ram Kevalur.
“The installation ceremony also featured a talk Masterclass on market-oriented, innovation-driven entrepreneurship by Mr. Kiran Bettadapur, a distinguished entrepreneur, investor, patent attorney, Supreme Court advocate, and director at Blaze Ventures,” noted a statement issued by TiE Mysuru.
During his session, Mr. Bettadapur delved into critical topics such as creative disruption, emerging business models, value creation, and the nuances of patentability to drive business scalability. He also addressed various questions from the audience facilitating an interactive experience for over 120 TiE Mysuru members who attended the event.
A statement said TiE Mysuru achieved several milestones in 2024, reinforcing its commitment to fostering entrepreneurship.
While 12 masterclasses, sessions, open mics, and networking events organised by TiE Mysuru attracted over 2,000 entrepreneurs and startups, Karnataka’s only TiE University initiative to promote student entrepreneurship was successfully implemented, the statement noted, adding that the university programme received over 70 applications from 11 districts representing 31 educational institutions.
