BBMP issues 618 final e-khatas in two days, expanding citizen-friendly e-khata melas across Bengaluru zones.
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) issued 618 final e-khatas in two days to property owners who participated in the e-khata mela in three zones in the city.
While in Yelahanka zone, the mela kickstarted on Friday, in Mahadevapura and West zones, the civic body organised the event on Saturday. As part of its citizen-friendly initiatives, the BBMP is organising e-khata melas in collaboration with residents’ welfare associations (RWAs) and civic groups. Officials have encouraged interested communities to host such events in their localities, assuring them of full cooperation from the BBMP.
In the Mahadevapura Zone, the first phase of the mela was held at Mantri Web City, Horamavu. Around 550 property owners participated, and 313 received their final e-khata certificates on the spot. Additionally, 63 corrections were made immediately. The event was attended by senior BBMP officials, who said that similar initiatives would be conducted in other sub-divisions.
In the West Zone’s Gandhinagar sub-division, the event at Prestige West Woods, Gopalapura, facilitated the downloading of 45 draft e-khatas, with five final certificates being issued. Training sessions were also held to educate residents on the process.
Meanwhile, in the Yelahanka Zone, the mela at Kuvempunagar spanned two days. A total of 394 property owners applied, with 300 receiving their final e-khatas. The remaining 94 applications are under process.
The BBMP plans to extend the initiative across all eight zones in phases, ensuring wider access to e-khata services for property owners.
