
B.R. Patil appointed deputy chief of State planning body

B.R. Patil, Aland MLA and a known loyalist of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Karnataka State Policy and Planning Commission.
B.R. Patil, Aland MLA and a known loyalist of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Karnataka State Policy and Planning Commission.
His appointment, notified on Monday, comes after he resigned as political adviser to the Chief Minister. Mr. Patil is a four-time legislator.
Mr. Patil was known to be dissatisfied over not being made a Minister and to mollify him he was appointed political adviser to the Chief Minister.
He, however, stepped down from the post and hadn’t revealed the reasons for his step. He only said that there were some problems.
