
Anna University opens admissions for industry, other State categories

Register online for undergraduate programmes at Anna University's Chennai departments by June 9 through cfa.annauniv.edu/cfa.
Aspirants who wish to study undergraduate programmes offered by Anna University’s four departments in the city — namely, the College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), the Madras Institute of Technology, Chromepet (MIT), the A.C. College of Technology (ACT), and the School of Architecture and Planning, Guindy, (SAP) — under the category of Consortium of Industries may register and submit their application online through the web portal cfa.annauniv.edu/cfa.
The last date to submit, register, pay the fee, and upload application forms with relevant documents is June 9, 2025, the university’s registrar has announced.
Students from other States may register online for undergraduate programmes at the four university departments from April 11, 2025, through the aforementioned web portal.
The last date to submit filled-in applications, along with the required documents and registration fees, is June 13, 2025.

The Socio Economic and Educational Survey (caste census) report, accepted by the Karnataka government on Friday, has proposed an increase in reservation to other backward classes (OBCs) from the existing 32% to 51 %. This would result in total reservation in the State going up to 85%, including 10% to the economically weaker sections (EWS) and 24% to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
