AMMK founder T.T.V. Dhinakaran reaffirms party's alliance with NDA, emphasizes on defeating DMK in Tamil Nadu.
AMMK founder T.T.V. Dhinakaran on Saturday said that his party continued to be in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
His remarks came a day after the AIADMK and the BJP revived their electoral ties. Addressing reporters here, he reiterated that the AMMK was a part of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led alliance, and all forces should come together with the objective of defeating the DMK. “The NDA is an ocean. In Tamil Nadu, Mr. Amit Shah [Union Home Minister] has announced that the AIADMK will lead the alliance. There is no issue with it,” he added.
He also ruled out the possibility of a united AIADMK as “some do not have the generosity for that to happen”.
