The Nampally Court had sent the actor to judicial custody for 14 days and he was lodged in the Chanchalguda jail.
His lawyer approached the High Court, which granted him interim bail the same day, asking him to move the trial court for regular bail.
As the 14-day judicial remand period came to an end on Friday (December 27), he was expected to appear before the court. Owing to security concerns, his lawyers sought permission for his virtual appearance. Further proceedings regarding his judicial remand have been adjourned to January 10.
