
Women in majority on Santhigiri Ashram director board

The decision was taken at the board meeting held on April 1. She succeeds the late Swami Mahithan Jnana Tapaswi to the board. Janani Nishchitha is a renunciate disciple who grew under the guidance of Karunakara Guru, the Ashram’s founder. She was born on March 9, 1979, to G. Surendran Pillai and V. Ramani Kutty of Pallikkal, Kottarakkara, who named her Ranjini.
She completed her primary education in Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram. She received her initiation into renunciation (Sannyasa Deeksha) on July 16, 1999, and was given the name Janani Nishchitha Jnana Thapaswini.
