On Wednesday, Will Ferrell’s eldest son, Magnus, decided to participate in the “My Emergency Contact” TikTok trend. The meme involves showcasing a video of your “emergency contact” doing something that makes them look less than capable of helping you during a crisis.
All of the TikToks for the trend follow the same format. The song “Ordinary Girl” from “Hannah Montana” plays in the background as someone is seen doing something somewhat embarrassing like failing to balance on a pool float or progressively burying their head into a wall of snow, while overlaying text reads, “My emergency contact ❤️.”
So, when Ferrell’s son decided to participate in the trend by filming his dad dancing like a goof, TikTok users were delighted.
“You win this trend,” one user wrote, garnering over 7,000 likes in agreement.
