Water levels in Papanasam and Manimuthar dams, along with rainfall data in Tenkasi district, reported on Sunday.
The water level in Papanasam dam on Sunday was 52.80 feet (maximum level 143 feet) with an inflow of 17.268 cusecs and a discharge of 254.75 cusecs. The water level in Manimuthar dam was 86.88 ft (maximum level 118 feet) with an inflow of 72.77 cusecs and a discharge of 245 cusecs. Rainfall in the neighbouring Tenkasi district (in mm) was as follows: Karuppanadhi: 10, Sivagiri: 12, Adavinainar and Tenkasi recorded 2 mm rainfall during the last 24 hours ending 6 a.m.
