Current water levels in Papanasam and Manimuthar dams, with inflow and discharge rates, updated on Sunday.
The water level in Papanasam dam on Sunday stood at 92.90 feet (the maximum level is 143 feet) with an inflow of 347.55 cusecs and a discharge of 50 cusecs. The water level in Manimuthar dam stood at 88.17 feet (the maximum level is 118 feet) with an inflow of 226.75 cusecs and a discharge of 425 cusecs.

Model primary schools should not undermine existing institutions, caution UTF leaders. Calling for due diligence while introducing reforms, they say that upper primary schools, with a strength of above 60, should either be upgraded into high schools or be allowed to continue in their present form. Inordinate delay in payment of dues to employees and teachers a cause for concern, they say.
