MP Sribharat meets Nitin Gadkari to discuss road projects in Visakhapatnam, emphasizing need for improved connectivity and traffic solutions.
Member of Parliament M. Sribharat met Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi and discussed several road infrastructure projects aimed to improve connectivity and ease traffic congestions in Visakhapatnam.
The MP emphasised the urgent need for solutions to the traffic congestion in Visakhapatnam, considering the city’s rapid growth and increasing vehicular movement. He highlighted the importance of improving connectivity for the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport.
One of the key requests made by Mr. Sribharat was redesigning the entry ramp onto the National Highway 16 at Anandapuram Junction. He pointed out that the current design was causing significant traffic bottlenecks. A well-planned redesign would ease the traffic flow, providing a seamless commuting experience to the people, he said.
The MP also discussed the Visakhapatnam-Kharagpur Beach Corridor project, which is currently in the DPR stage.
“Visakhapatnam is emerging as a major economic and tourism hub. Seamless road connectivity is crucial for its growth. The Bhogapuram International Airport will be a game-changer for the region. We must ensure that the road connectivity is well-planned and future-ready,” he said.
