Fox News is usually reliably friendly territory for President Donald Trump, but that changed at least briefly on Tuesday when the right-wing network’s White House correspondent got surprisingly blunt.
Peter Doocy ― who was also a bit of a thorn in President Joe Biden’s side ― said before a White House briefing that Trump and his DOGE team have been trying to get federal workers to retire as part of an effort to shrink the government.
“But it’s tough to make the argument that you should retire if your retirement accounts are getting throttled, which is what is happening right now,” he said.
